Aluminum film reflector is a total reflection mirror made by vacuum coating a layer of aluminum film on the surface of a flat substrate. From visible light to infrared, these products have high reflectivity and are almost unaffected by the incident angle. They can provide pure aluminum film mirrors and aluminum film mirrors covered with magnesium fluoride (MgF2) or silicon dioxide (SiO2) protective films. Magnesium fluoride (MgF2) protective film prevents scratches and oxidation. But its reflectivity is lower than that of pure aluminum film. The optimization design of magnesium fluoride (MgF2) protective film was carried out with the goal of maximizing the reflectivity in the visible light wavelength range.
