Types of Insulated Glass
Insulated glass has special absorption, transmission, and reflection abilities for light and heat. The use of exterior windows and glass curtain walls in buildings can achieve significant energy-saving effects. Commonly used insulation glass includes heat absorbing glass, coated glass, and insulating glass.
How does heat absorbing glass work?
Heat absorbing glass increases light absorption by adding some metal ions or substances to the glass. The shading coefficient of heat absorbing glass is lower than that of transparent glass, and its shading principle is to reduce the number of times it enters the room by absorbing solar energy from optical lenses.
Disadvantage: Heat absorbing glass blocks some solar radiation heat in summer or winter, so it can be used to block heat from the south instead of the north. Heat absorbing glass is actually the absorption of radiation, and the heat absorbed by the glass will eventually be transferred indoors and outdoors. Heat absorbing glass has no selectivity for spectra, which not only reduces the transmittance of sunlight, but also hinders the projection of visible light, affecting illumination.
How does coated glass work?
The purpose of coating glass is to coat one or more layers of metal, alloy or metal compound on the surface of glass to change its properties. According to different characteristics, it can be divided into heat reflective glass and low emissivity glass.
1. Heat reflective glass
The surface of heat reflective glass is coated with a metal film and some interference layers, allowing the glass product to reflect more solar radiation, achieve shading effect, and have rich colors. Heat reflective glass has strong reflection of visible light and long wave radiation, and its function is to limit the solar radiation entering the indoor environment.
Disadvantages: The thermal insulation performance of heat reflective glass is no different from that of transparent glass, so it is not suitable for laser lenses in cold areas with large indoor temperature differences. However, in hot areas with strong light, its insulation effect is very good. Reflective glass not only reflects the heat of solar radiation, but also limits the entry of visible light, which has a negative impact on indoor lighting. In addition, excessively high reflectivity can lead to light pollution, while excessively low reflectivity cannot achieve energy-saving effects.
2. Low radiation glass
A low-E coating is formed on the surface of glass through vacuum deposition, which reflects far-infrared radiation and effectively reduces the heat transfer coefficient of high-power laser mirror groups on glass; Secondly, reflecting solar thermal radiation selectively reduces the shading coefficient; Meanwhile, compared to heat reflective glass, low emissivity glass does not restrict the penetration of visible light.
Disadvantage: Due to poor film strength, hollow glass is generally used instead of being used separately.
In the process of grinding flat planets, the wear uniformity of the grinding disc is closely related to the grinding quality of the optical lens. By analyzing the motion law of optical lenses during the grinding process of planar planets, a calculation model for the trajectory of steel rail mirrors and workpiece motion speed under differential gear system conditions was established, and a Matlab simulation program was developed.
