Today, let's take a look at the infrared imaging technology currently used in the field of optics. Essentially, infrared light is caused by the heating of matter. Infrared thermal imaging technology is a passive infrared night vision technology that emits infrared radiation of different wavelengths based on the property that all temperatures of an object are above absolute zero. This infrared radiation contains the characteristic information of the object. The thermal imager detects the infrared radiation emitted by the object, generates real-time images, and provides thermal images of the scene, converting the radiation image that is invisible to the human eye into a clear image that is visible to the human eye. The thermal imager has high sensitivity and can generally detect less than 0.1 degrees Celsius; The temperature difference of C.

Technical principle: When the surface temperature of an object exceeds absolute zero, electromagnetic waves will be emitted. As the temperature changes, the radiation intensity and wavelength distribution characteristics of electromagnetic waves will also change. Electromagnetic waves with wavelengths between 0.75 and 1000 μ m are called infrared, while visible light to the human eye is between 0.4 and 0.75 μ m. The part with a wavelength of 0.78 μ m and 2.0 μ m is called near-infrared, and the part with a wavelength of 2.0 μ m and 1000 μ m is called thermal infrared. When infrared is transmitted on the Earth's surface, it is absorbed by atmospheric components (especially H2O, CO2, CH4, N2O, O3, etc.), and its intensity is significantly reduced, only at 3 μ m~5 μ m; It has good transmission characteristics, namely the atmospheric window, in the mid band of m and the long wave band of 8-12 m. Most infrared thermal imagers detect and calculate these two bands, and display the temperature distribution on the surface of the object. In addition, infrared thermography is mainly used to measure the infrared radiation energy on the surface of objects, as it has poor penetration through most solid and liquid substances.

Camera imaging captures images, while television camera imaging captures television images, all of which are visible light imaging. In nature, all objects can emit infrared radiation, so it is possible to measure the infrared difference between the target itself and the background through a detector and obtain different infrared images.
