Precautions for using optical filters
All optical components are precise, especially the filter, which is the core component of all optical application systems. Once a problem occurs, it can cause the entire optical system to malfunction. Therefore, when using and maintaining the filter, the following precautions should be taken as much as possible:
1. When the acid and salt on the surface of glass are easily corroded, touching the filter directly with your hand will leave marks on it. If not erased for a long time, it may become a permanent light spot, affecting the imaging quality of optical components, so finger cots need to be worn.
2. Light retention and light, many optical lenses are glass products that are prone to contact, collapse, and scratches. The edges of the lenses should not be in direct contact with transparent surfaces, even when wearing finger cots. Avoid salt and acidic substances on the surface of the substrate from corroding it.
3. When not in use, it should be placed in a soft container. Bare pieces should not be directly placed on glass, metal, tabletop, or unclean paper, as this can easily scratch the lens.
4. If there is almost no dust on the surface of the lens, use a clean ear ball to blow it off a few times.
5. If you encounter stains or sweat, gently scrub with alcohol or acetone dipped in mirror paper or silk cloth.
6. When storing, wrap it in clean capacitor paper or mirror paper and place it in a medium temperature (about 23 ℃) and humidity (less than 40%) environment. If necessary, place it in a drying oven.
7. Optical lenses should not be stacked together. Each shot should not overlap.
8. Once you find it dirty, wash it immediately, but be careful to prevent scratches, as dust can easily scratch the lenses. If there are stains or fingerprints on the surface, it can be wiped with anhydrous ethanol or similar functional solvents. The specific method is as follows: put on a dust-free finger cover, soak a towel in anhydrous ethanol, drag the edge of the towel soaked in ethanol, and move it unidirectionally on the surface of the filter. The lighter the wiping action, the better.
9. Avoid scratching the filter with clothing zippers, buttons, etc., or placing the filter in a dirty or dusty environment.
