Where We Serve

Machine Vision and Biometric Recognition

Infrared cut-off, bandpass filters, and polarizers for industrial cameras, facial recognition, and biometric modules enhance imaging signal-to-noise ratio.

What do components in this industry have to carry

The imaging of the visual system is to let in the desired light and not let in the unwanted light. Daytime imaging requires infrared cut-off filters to suppress ambient infrared above 700nm, otherwise the image will appear white and the color will be distorted; The active light source scheme (infrared fill light, structured light, 3D camera) requires the use of narrowband filters to block ambient light and only allow the light source band to pass.

Common components

  • Infrared Cut Filter (IR Cut): Used for color imaging to restore true colors
  • Narrowband bandpass filter: used for infrared fill light, structured light, and biometric modules
  • Long wave pass filter: used for near-infrared imaging schemes
  • Polarizer: used to eliminate the reflection interference between metal parts and glass surfaces

Key selection points

First, determine whether it is a "passive imaging" or "active light source" solution, and then confirm the wavelength of the light source, lens interface, and target surface size. Whether the filter is installed in front of the lens or the sensor will affect the size and thickness requirements, and should be specified when placing an order.
