AM1.5 solar simulation filter
Solar simulation technology has been widely applied. In solar photovoltaic science and engineering, aerospace technology space environment simulation, and other solar simulators, the solar simulator filter, as a key optical component, will also develop rapidly. At present, foreign companies mainly produce solar simulators suitable for solar cell testing, such as solar lamps, Xingang, and Technology. The single piece price of its filters is around $1000, which is relatively expensive. Although domestic units researching solar simulators have reached the international advanced level, they have not developed solar simulator filters.
Ruicheng Optoelectronics started from the standard atmospheric spectrum and the standard xenon lamp spectrum curve, and obtained the transmittance spectrum curve of the AM1.5 type filter in the solar simulator from these two spectral curves. Based on this transmittance curve, the film system of the solar simulator filter was designed and optimized. Finally, through process research, the filter used in the solar cell testing simulator was successfully prepared. The irradiance test results showed that the developed AM1.5 solar simulator filter reached the A+class standard in spectral matching. After direct testing by solar simulator manufacturers, it fully meets national standards and has been successfully applied to various solar simulators such as testing solar cells.
AM stands for Air Quality, meaning Air Quality. Due to the different zenith angles and optical paths of the sun at different scales on Earth, the relative equivalent atmospheric mass is also different. According to the formula am_1/cos (z), z is the zenith angle, and am1.5 is located in the mid latitude regions of most countries such as China, Europe, and the United States, at an angle of 48.2 degrees to the zenith angle. Therefore, the surface solar spectrum is expressed in AM1.5 with an energy of 1000W/m2.
The basic principle of a solar simulation filter is to use artificial light sources (usually metal halide lamps, carbon arc lamps, halogen lamps, tungsten filament lamps, xenon lamps, LEDs, etc.) to simulate solar radiation after being processed by the solar simulation filter, in order to overcome infrared interference. The impact of time and climate on solar radiation cannot be adjusted for total irradiance. Widely used in spacecraft thermal balance testing, material aging testing, aerospace optoelectronic device calibration, online or offline detection of solar cells, solar simulators, ecological testing, crop cultivation testing, and other fields.
technical indicators
Incident angle: 0° incidence
Light source: Metal halide lamp, carbon arc lamp, halogen lamp, tungsten filament lamp, xenon lamp, LED and other light sources
Output target: AM1.5 sunlight
Size: Customizable according to customer requirements
Application scenarios: thermal balance test, solar simulator, ecological experiment, solar cell detection
Installation precautions: Try to install it on the final output as much as possible, with the incident angle as small as possible, and do not install it directly in front of the xenon lamp.
