超系列陷波滤波器也可以定制，以切断拉曼光谱应用的陡度。在某些拉曼使用中，带阻陷波滤光片用来阻断激发激光波长，同时将斯托克斯和反向信号传输到检测器，如果缺口的边缘不陡，接近激光波长信号就会丢失。
